Hey everyone,

We're looking for a few (full-time) Ruby Developers to come on board at DownstreamApp.com. Wondering if anyone on this list knows of folks that may be a good fit. Ideally they would be willing to work in West Michigan but also open to remote as well.

Downstream is a multi-point backup service that backs up, delivers, and trends cloud data. We've recently been funded and looking to keep up the momentum on our overall service.


A few things you should know

* Understand different agile software development and estimation styles
* Understand Test Driven design
* Understand SQL and could implement their own ORM if needed
* Understand how to scale applications from the Application Layer
** Can articulate differences in strategies between Optimization and Scaling
* Can setup a production environment
* Understand different deployment strategies
* Know Object Oriented Programming patterns and anti-patterns
* Can work with revision control systems (we currently use git)
* Can pick up on code smells, point out ugly hacks, and appreciate The Simplest Thing That Works
* Must be fluent at the command line
